When creating the structure I decided to use foamboard for the arches and and roof rafters. I painted the roof rafters in grey acrylic. Upon reflection, I think that another material may have been more effective such as mountboard. The foam board was very hard to link and construct at the appropriate angles (in particular the middle). In the end, I had to result to white tack as an adhesive as I struggled to find another type of glue and hold the entire structure in place. I have since learnt a method in skills passport that I think would have solved this issue. Next time I would try using glue again but hold it in place with pins. I would also have used that method for the bricks, another very fragile part of the structure that I struggled with.
I made the bricks through printing out to scale bricks and then gluing that to foam board. I then painted the edges and "dirtied" it by using a brown soft pastel. I attached it in a similar way to the roof rafters making them another fragile component to this model.
When approaching the window, I knew I wanted to use acetate but I could not print onto the acetate correctly. So instead I decided to use a permanent marker to copy on the window design. I then painted on the colour using acrylics. I found this method most effective.
The stage space was mainly created with card. I chose to use a reflective surface for the base as I wanted to add to the glamour aspect of the set. I also thought it would further emphasise the 1920s aspects of the set and star cloth. As for the geometric golden shapes on the stage, I chose to colour these using watercolours to create a gradient as well as define the shapes.
When creating the star cloth to go around the studio, originally I had printed out an image I had repeated on Photoshop and glued this to the back of the cyclorama I had built. However, this led to the printed image bubbling when bending and securing the image. In order to solve this, I removed the image and instead added "stars" using a white pen on the black background. This looked a lot more professional and therefore was a lot more effective.
Lastly, for the furniture, I did not want a lot of it for I did not want to clutter the space. So I just layered on the furniture I had made in the originally in the paper models and then painted it using acrylics.

Overall, I really enjoyed making the model, but next I want to pay more attention to detail in order to make it more realistic. I would also pay more attention to measurements as I think I could have been more anthropometrical when considering certain aspects such as the archway link space.
