Using SketchUp was quite a new software for me, I did find it quite fiddly but once again as with everything, the more I used it, the better I got.
I particularly found it hard to draw the silhouettes out of the shoes and if it had not have been on sketch up I would have liked to try to have a bit more detail/ rococo embellishments on the shoe design but because of time and also my beginner skills
I was not quite able to execute the detailed I would have wanted.
But I am proud with the rest of the design. I tried incorporating some chequered flooring on the little platforms for the birdcages. I also added a centrepiece table/platform to present any given collectible that are revealed by the two side cages. I could not once again put the wigs on the birdcages because it was not really possible on SketchUp but this is a detail I'm hoping to show in my visual.
My plan with the drapes is not to use a silky material but more of a cotton and to prevent shining. I also intend the shade of yellow to be a bit darker, once again limited by the colours available. I have added finishes as you can see here such as the golden trimmings. And lastly I added a layer behind the and curtains, which I intended to be frosted glass but upon reflection now I would not have done that. At the time I thought frosted glass would be effective as it would not reflect the camera action or lighting. It also would allow for it to be lit from behind to let the silhouettes of the shoe and person to be well seen.
Looking back at this overall model, I am pleased with the design but I would like to maybe have incorporated another colour. I think the yellow was a good choice for the drapes because it is not too overpowering but the yellow in the gold were too similar. I would try changing the colour of the shoe silhouette, maybe blue.
