For my artefact, I have decided to do a book nook diorama inspired by Ancient Egyptian as my contextual studies essay title was exploring "How the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb impacted the world". I want my book nook diorama to show a part of a tomb that has just been discovered, so everything must look aged. I do not want to link my book nook to a particular book but have it more as an means to escape to another world.
I did a little mood board when initially exploring the idea. I think a key thing I have learnt from these it the importance of depth and light. These are both aspects I know I need to prioritise when when designing and making my artefact.
